JFSNM Receives National Grant Award

Jewish Family Service of New Mexico was recently awarded a multi-year grant from the US Administration on Aging's Community Innovations in Aging in Place (CIAIP)grant program. JFS was one of thirteen grant recipients nationwide for local programming. The process for these grants was extremely competitive; over 130 proposals were submitted. The grant award for the first year is in the amount of $338,575. The Board and staff of JFS are extremely honored and excited about the opportunity to bring their innovative model of "Aging in Place" to life serving New Mexico seniors. JFS plans to serve seniors in a Native American Pueblo (tbd) and in Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, and Fort Sumner. Please check back soon for more detailed information on this very exciting project!
